For starting out, we think that Kitesurf Warehouse has the very best options. Our Kites are the very best on the market and retail at the very lowest prices you will find. Naish, Blade, Liquid Force and CrazyFly kites are made from the highest quality materials and have received fantastic reviews from some of the industries most experienced equipment testers. Because we sell them at such great prices, you wont lose so much if you want to trade them in or sell them on in few years time. Based on previous years Blade kites (exclusive to KSW in the UK and Ireland) have all held around 50-60% of their value when being sold on after 2 seasons. Not too bad considering the industry average is around just 42% for 2 year old kites.

How to Choose Your Kite :
First select which model of kite you would like. A quick trip to our kites page will give you more info on the models available. But both the kites here are suited to learning and quick progression but they still pack a shed load of performance for once you are at intermediate or even pro level.
Smaller kites turn faster, have a bigger wind range but have less pull. They are generally used for lighter riders and in stronger winds. Bigger kites are slower but give more float when jumping and are used by bigger riders and in lighter winds. Many kitesurfers will have 2 or 3 kites in their quiver to cover all winds strengths. For starting out it is easiest to learn in winds from 14-20Knots. Here is a guide showing the size of kite a beginner will get the most benefit from.
Under 55kg - 7m
55 - 65Kg
- 9m
65 - 79 KG - 10m
75 - 99KG
- 12m
100kg and up - 14m
When Choosing a board :
Bigger boards are generally better in light winds and for heavier riders and they are also easier to learn on. But go too big and its likely your will be wanting to change it after just a few months. Smaller boards are easier to manouvre and better in stronger winds. Once you are over the hurdle of having your first few runs dialed in they are better for progressing. We would recommend the 138cm Blade Sanchez to heavier riders and 134cm Blade Sanchez for everyone else. Both are a superb starter and intermediate boards, but many pro riders are also using them so they wont hold you back.
